The Standard for Deep Tech Assessment

TACTIC was born from a simple observation: evaluating deep tech ventures takes too long and costs too much. Review committees spend weeks on what could take minutes. And the standard being applied moves from reviewer to reviewer.

We built TACTIC to change that. Our platform applies a documented, weighted methodology across 4 key scoring dimensions. Sub-dimension scores are reported on Evaluation and Deep Assessment (20) and Dossier (16).

The result? Grant authorities can screen an intake against one standard. VCs can accelerate due diligence. Researchers can validate their ventures before seeking funding. The rubric, the weights and the arithmetic that combine them are fixed and identical for every venture and every customer. For the same account, an unchanged submission run again at the same tier is scored, wherever it can be, from the judgements already made for it; otherwise, from another account, or once the method itself has changed, those judgements are made afresh and can move between runs.

An assessment is frozen as it was issued. Once it completes, its dimension scores, the findings and the verdict it was issued with are stored and never rewritten, and a correction is issued as a new dated version beside the original rather than in place of it. The report is printed from those stored scores and findings each time you open it, so its layout and wording can improve, and where a fault in how a figure was worked out or printed is put right, the page shows the figure the stored scores support. Re-running a venture after you have revised it is a new assessment and can come out differently, which is the point of running it again.
